On 22 January 2026, Inna Zhuranskaya participated in the Women-Led Global Business Programme in Health-Tech, organized by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) in collaboration with UKRI India and Innovate UK. The delegation’s visit to Chennai provided an opportunity to explore the city’s dynamic health-tech and deep-tech ecosystem. During the visit, Inna and other delegates toured key innovation and incubation hubs, including the Golden Jubilee Biotech Park for Women Society, IIT Madras’ HTIC MedTech Incubator, IIT Madras Bioincubator, and the IITM Incubation Cell. The visits allowed the delegation to interact with leading innovators, startup teams, and incubator experts, as well as explore cutting-edge translational and manufacturing facilities. The session also showcased the strong academic-industry collaborations driving health-tech innovation in the region. The Chennai leg of the programme emphasized the growing capabilities of India’s health-tech sector, particularly in fostering women-led enterprises and global partnerships. Presentations on regulatory pathways by Dr. Sonia Gandhi and Indian market readiness by Dr. Vijender Jeph further enriched the delegation’s understanding of the region’s healthcare landscape. The visit concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Shalini Singh, marking the successful conclusion of the five-day immersion programme. BIRAC’s collaboration with UKRI India and Innovate UK underscored the importance of cross-border innovation and the growing potential of India–UK partnerships in advancing health-tech solutions globally.
